Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about Modern Recruiter

The answers below describe the current product and its boundaries. They avoid promises the software cannot independently prove.

What resume formats are supported?

Modern Recruiter accepts PDF, DOCX, and TXT files for resume screening sessions.

Can I control the screening criteria?

Yes. You can edit the rubric’s criteria, descriptions, weights, and scoring method before using it for a session.

Does it explain the scores?

Completed evaluations include criterion-level scores and rationale, plus an overall explanation that a recruiter can compare with the resume.

Does Modern Recruiter make the hiring decision?

No. It supports an initial resume screen. The hiring team remains responsible for reviewing the output, interviewing candidates, and making the decision.

Is Modern Recruiter an ATS?

No. It is a resume-screening layer that can sit beside an ATS. Reviewed results can be exported to CSV for another workflow.

How does pricing work?

The current product uses processing credits. The signed-in billing page shows available credit options and the total before checkout.

What security controls are implemented?

The AWS infrastructure configures managed encryption for primary data stores, uses Cognito authentication, and offers optional MFA for native accounts.

Can I try it on one role?

Yes. A bounded trial on one real role is the recommended way to validate the rubric, inspect the rationale, and measure time saved before expanding use.

Pressure-test it on one real role

Define the rubric, run the pool, and inspect the reason behind every score before you trust the ranking.
